The East coast

From Dunedin I went up the east coast to Oamaru. On the way I stopped at the Moeraki boulders, some perfectly round rocks on the beach.

In Oamaru I was amazed by the architecture that uses a lot of white limestone. The town also has a rich Steampunk culture and while I was there there was a special festival, so many people dressed up in awesome costumes.

The Steampunk headquarter is a museum that features sculptures and other forms of art related to Steampunk. The coolest thing there is a “time machine”. It’s a room full of mirrors with lights hanging from the ceiling. I went in there multiple times because I enjoyed it so much and the lights changed every time.
